I would like to formally announce…
I just took an eye exam.
In my bed.
At 11pm.
On a Tuesday.
And not in a “I Googled my symptoms and now I’m concerned” kind of way.
No. A real, actual, legitimate enough to renew my contacts for a year eye exam.
What is this world we are living in???
Because last I checked, getting an eye exam involved:
• Making an appointment
• Driving somewhere
• Sitting in a chair that feels slightly too medical
• Trying to decide if “one or two” looks better while fully panicking
• And somehow always blinking at the wrong moment
But no.
Not anymore.
Now apparently you can just…
Lay in bed.
Scroll a little.
Focus your eyes like a semi-functioning adult.
And boom.
Prescription renewed.
For $20.
Twenty dollars.
I spend more than that on things I absolutely did not need on a random Tuesday.
And the best part?
I didn’t even have to change out of my pajamas.
I didn’t have to make small talk.
I didn’t have to pretend I wasn’t confused by the letters.
I didn’t have to leave my house.
Honestly… I barely had to sit up.
And now?
My contacts are on their way.
Like I’m some highly organized, put-together person who handles life efficiently.
Which is hilarious, because I was literally horizontal five minutes ago contemplating snacks.
Also… the prices?
Shockingly reasonable.
I’m not shilling for anyone, I promise.
But $47.50 a box??
At 11pm??
From my bed??
It feels illegal.
Or at the very least… suspiciously easy.
What a time to be alive.
Next thing you know, I’ll be scheduling surgeries from my couch and having them delivered with free shipping.
Still dramatic.
Still slightly confused by modern technology…
Still A Bri Too Much. 😌✨
